In Brief

Juventus keep winning: a 2-0 away success against Frosinone. Aiming at 6th league triumph in a row, at home to Bologna. Douglas Costa still banned. Spinazzola, De Sciglio and Khedira should be out. Barzagli returns. Kean also absent.

Looking Back

Even though they held the ball control and the initiative of the play, Juventus were far too slow and predictable during the first half against Frosinone on the road. Not too surprisingly, they failed to score any goals, despite creating some dangers. Things changed after the break as they increased their aggressiveness but they only managed to score twice just before the end.

When he came on in the second half, Bernardeschi was very lively and he also proved capable of making the difference, also scoring the second goal for his side. Ronaldo created some dangers and scored the first goal of the match but sometimes looked without energies. Bentancur played very badly and he had to be replaced in the second half.

Looking Ahead

Juventus have won all the games played so far and they will aim at continuing their march at the top in occasion of the home clash against Bologna.

The longtime injured Spinazzola will still be missing out such as De Sciglio and Khedira. Barzagli has been dealing with a muscular problem but he recovered in time to make the 19-man squad. Kean was not selected.

Douglas Costa will be serving the second of a 4-game ban.

Perin should be debuting in the goal while Alex Sandro could end up on the bench. Can is contending with Pjanic for a place in the middle of the park.

As an alternative, Allegri could opt for a back three with Barzagli among the starters.

Points of Interest

Juventus hosted Bologna 71 times: they won 41 and drew 25, while losing 5. On the whole, they scored 118 goals and conceded 54.

In Brief

First win of the season: a prestigious 2-0 home success over Roma. A tough trip to Juventus ahead of them. Pulgar still banned. Donsah, Palacio and Helander still out. Poli also absent. Svanberg a doubt but in squad.

Looking Back

Bologna did not play particularly well at the beginning of the home clash against Roma. However, despite the opponents' attempts, they did not go down and they actually proved capable of scoring. Having managed to take a 2-goal lead, they had no problems controlling the opponents' desperate assaults until the very end of the match.

Mattiello run along the right flank for the whole match and he even managed to score once. Santander also played a great game, unlike his previous performances, and he scored once too. Skorupski proved capable of several decisive saves. De Maio played a great defensive game and he also initiated the first goal of the match.

Looking Ahead

At last, Bologna managed to score their first goals of the season, while also obtaining their first three-pointer. They will next be travelling to Juventus, the leaders of the league.

The longtime injured Donsah, Palacio and Helander should still be missing out. Poli will also be missing out due to a calf problem. Svanberg is dealing with a slight concussion but he made the 21-man squad.

Pulgar will be serving the second of a 3-game ban.

Orsolini should be preferred to Valencia in the midfield. Dijks should prevail over Krejci on the left flank of the midfield. Destro and Okwonkwo represent the alternatives to Santander and Falcinelli in the attack.

As an alternative, Bologna could opt for a 4-4-1-1 formation with Mbaye and Mattiello as the full-backs.

Points of Interest
