In Brief

Leeds suffer heavy West Brom loss. Conor Shaughnessy, Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling, Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford injured. Pontus Jansson doubtful. Keeper crisis with Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Jamal Blackman injured.

Looking Back

Leeds will still be reeling by an unexpected and heavy 4-1 loss at West Brom just before the international break. They were 4-0 down in that game too until a late Pablo Hernandez consolation.

That defeat saw the Whites drop down to 3rd in the table but they are still very well placed and boss Marcelo Bielsa will hope that result will serve as a bit of a wake-up call.

Looking Ahead

Bielsa may well opt for changes after such a disappointing game last time out and looks likely to make a change in defence with Pontus Jansson struggling.

There remains a fairly long injury list with Conor Shaughnessy, Gaetano Berardi, Luke Ayling, Izzy Brown and Patrick Bamford all still sidelined.

Elsewhere Leeds have a keeper crisis. Jamal Blackman suffered a serious injury in the Under 23s and Marcelo Bielsa has since said he would have replaced Bailey Peacock-Farrell for this game. Now Peacock-Farrell has been ruled out as well leaving just Kamil Miazek and Will Huffer available.

Points of Interest

Leeds have been difficult to beat at Elland Road so far with four wins, three draws and just one defeat.

Bristol City

In Brief

Bristol City have now lost three on the spin. Bailey Wright, Frank Fielding, Eros Pisano and Korey Smith injured. Hakeeb Adelakun could return.

Looking Back

It has been a miserable time for Bristol City of late. Three straight losses have seen them fall down the table to 13th and at this stage it appears to be a campaign that is unlikely to offer too much.

City lost in disappointing fashion just before the international break 1-0 at home to Preston, where they struggled in every aspect of their performance.

Looking Ahead

Hakeeb Adelakun will hope to make his long-awaited Bristol City debut having been out of action all season so far. Niki Maenpaa returned last time out so will keep his place in goal.

Bailey Wright, Frank Fielding, Eros Pisano and Korey Smith all remain sidelined due to injury. No new issues have been reported.

Points of Interest

City have three wins, two draws and three defeats on the road this season. City lost 3-0 at home to Leeds last term but drew 2-2 at Elland Road.
