In Brief

Ralston, Kouassi, Christie, Arzani, and Griffiths all sidelined. Gordon, Boyata, Tierney, Lustig, Ntcham, Rogic, Simunovic, and Bitton doubts. Celtic in decent shape post-international break.

Looking Back

As it stands, it's been a decent enough international break from Celtic. Many of their expected starting XI have been away with their couintries.

Dedryck Boyata, Mikael Lustig, and Kieran Tierney all picked up knocks with their countries. Only Boyata and Tierney have dropped out, however.

Celtic also scheduled a closed doors bounce game against Morton last Friday. The likes of Olivier Ntcham, Jozo Simunovic, and Filip Benkovic all featured.

Looking Ahead

Boyata, Lustig, and Tierney are all still doubts. But they're joined in the doubtful list by Craig Gordon, Simunovic, Tom Rogic, Ntcham, and Nir Bitton respectively. Ntcham, Rogic, and Boyata have all trained. Tierney, meanwhile, has suffered a reaction to his calf knock.

Anthony Ralston, Eboue Kouassi, Ryan Christie, Daniel Arzani, and Leigh Griffiths are all out respectively.

Points of Interest

Celtic haven't lost to Rangers at Celtic Park since 2010. Were previously inbeaten in 13 before losing at Ibrox back in December.

Rangers

In Brief

Katic, Jack, Arfield, and Grezda all doubts. McAuley, Barisic, Murphy, and Dorrans all out. Rangers need to arrest struggles.

Looking Back

Rangers will look back on the international break so far with positivity. Despite having several stars away, their injury list has hardly worsened.

Borna Barisic did come off for Croatia in their win over Hungary with a suspected knock. He could be doubful for Sunday.

Rangers should have some positive vibes in the dressing room after the internationals too. The likes of Steve Davis, Kyle Lafferty, and Barisic are all coming back with two wins out of two.

Looking Ahead

The big concern for Steven Gerrard ahead of his side's trip to Parkhead will be in the midfield. Both Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield missed the home draw against Kilmarnock, and are therefore doubtful. Neither travelled with their international squad.

Gerrard has a variety of options in the midfield, but he'll almost certainly go with the toughness of Jack and Arfield over the likes of Glen Kamara and Steven Davis, should both be fit.

Nikola Katic and Eros Grezda are also slight doubts. However, Borna Barisic, Gareth McAuley, Graham Dorrans, and Jamie Murphy are all out respectively.

Points of Interest

Rangers haven't scored in any of their last three visits to Parkhead. Only Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty, and Ryan Jack have netted against Celtic in the Rangers squad.
