In Brief

McAuley, Goldson, Arfield, and Kent all big doubts. Murphy, Dorrans, and Barisic all sidelined. Rangers down ahead of huge Celtic crunch.

Looking Back

Rangers have been brought right back down to earth as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Hibernian at Ibrox on Wednesday.

Ryan Jack, Lassana Coulibaly, and Ross McCrorie have performed extremely well in the midfield in recent games. Their lack of mobility could be a problem on Saturday, however.

Alfredo Morelos has now reached 20 goals before the half-way point. He was the main man against Hibs, but once again the Ibrox side could barely get any service into him.

Looking Ahead

Team news for the weekend provides some worrying news for Rangers. Whilst Ryan Jack returned against Hibs, Connor Goldson had to go off with a slight knock for Nikola Katic.

Steven Gerrard has admitted he is still having to wait to make decisions on Ryan Kent, Connor Goldson, Gareth McAuley, and Scott Arfield respectively. All four remain doubtful.

Jamie Murphy, Graham Dorrans, and Borna Barisic are all injured respectively.

Points of Interest

Rangers' top goalscorer is Morelos, but the only side he hasn't yet scored against in the Premiership is Celtic. Rangers have lost their last four against Celtic, losing 13 goals in the process.

Celtic

In Brief

Tierney the only doubt. Boyata and Lustig returned to the squad against Aberdeen. Bitton, Kouassi, Arzani, Rogic, and Griffiths are all unavailable. Celtic buzzing after heroic Aberdeen performance.

Looking Back

Celtic put in a performance of two halves as they beat Aberdeen 4-3 at Pittodrie on Wednesday.

The Hoops once again struggled to deal with a high press, this time from Sam Cosgrove and Stevie May. Dedryck Boyata looked extremely uncomfortable on his return to action.

Boyata and Mikael Lustig returned to action to feature for the whole 90 minutes. Lustig looked much better than Boyata, but the Belgian grew into the game.

Scott Sinclair is back to form with a sensational hat-trick at Aberdeen. The impact of Odsonne Edouard was also significant.

Looking Ahead

Despite the recent emergence of both Anthony Ralston and Mikey Johnston, neither are likely to feature. The back four that featured at Pittodrie is highly likely to be the same four that features on Saturday.

Celtic didn't start with a striker on Wednesday, but Edouard will definitely start at Ibrox. He scored the winner the last time the sides met in Govan.

Kieran Tierney is a huge doubt. Meanwhile, Nir Bitton, Eboue Kouassi, Daniel Arzani, Tom Rogic, and Leigh Griffiths are all unavailable.

Points of Interest

Celtic are now unbeaten in 14 games against Rangers over 90 minutes. The Hoops have won all four matches at Ibrox since Rangers were promoted into the Premiership.
