Game Report

Highlights

Moise Kean stepped up to the plate for Juventus with a fine individual performance to help easily dispatch Udinese. Kean struck twice in the first half and then won a penalty which Emre Can converted before Blaise Matuidi added a fourth.

Detail

With the Champions League second leg against Atletico Madrid to come in midweek, Massimiliano Allegri rang in the changes and one of them paid huge dividends. Kean got between two defenders in the box to convert Alex Sandro's cross early on.

Udinese were very slow and sloppy in possession against the champions which proved to be disastrous. Seko Fofana passed the ball straight to Kean who punished him with a wonderful solo goal.

Kean was the standout performer on the night as his movement and pace were frightening the life out of the visiting defence. The youngster latched onto Rodrigo Bentancur's ball over the top and was brought down in the box by Nicholas Opoku for a penalty which Can slotted in.

It was a mere procession for Juventus in the second half - so much so that Allegri could afford to leave the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench. Matuidi headed in number four from Bentancur's cross.

Udinese did get a late consolation via a brilliantly taken goal by substitute Kevin Lasagna.

Summary

Juventus couldn't have wished for a much more comfortable evening and the manager will be pleased he didn't require any of his big guns from the bench as a youngster like Kean was able to carry the can. Udinese couldn't deal with him and were dominated from start to finish.
