Difficult 1st season in charge for coach Taylor. Survived, full 8 point above Leicester, but finished in the penultimate 11th spot and had the 2nd fewest wins, just 4 D5 L13. It was the 3 wins from March onward that secured survival. The start was awful. Some aggressive transfer moves in the winter improved things. Taylor stays for another year and he knows much better football will be needed to survive this time in the expanded 14-team league. Scored just 21 goals in 22 rounds last season. Seek to improve that this term. Experienced striker Vivien Endemann has been signed. She is easily a 10+ goals striker in this league. The Reds should be much better in attack with her leading the charge. GK Jennifer Falk came in the winter and played some great games last spring. She went back to her parent club. Replaced well. Khiara Keating comes from champions Man City to be the new number 1. CB Sara Agrež should play often also. She was signed as a reaction to the sale of Gemma Bonner. Liverpool have talent in their ranks to play better football and score more goals. Taylor’s tactics and messages seemed to be not getting through to the players last term though. He added 2 new sport psychologists to his coaching team this summer. This might help. If the main players understand better what the game plan is the results could possibly be better.

Target

Staying out of trouble and making the top half.
