Football Season Review

№15: Crystal Palace

Having finished a very respectable tenth in the table in 2014/2015, there was a general feeling that Alan Pardew could bring the Eagles on to much bigger and better things this season. Palace started the season well and picked up some great results in the first half of the campaign. Come the half way point they were a remarkable fifth in the table and playing very well. However, things took a major turn after that and they were unable to pick up wins for lone nor money. Relegation was a very real concern and it was not until the middle of April that their top flight status was secured. Palace finished a disappointing fifteenth in the table, just five points clear of the relegation zone. Their run in the FA Cup provided a distraction and they turned in some impressive performances on route to the Final in Wembley before being defeated by Manchester United. The likes of Jason Puncheon, Yannick Bolasie and Wil Zaha were all excellent going forward at times, but not consistently.

Player of the Season: Wilfried Zaha
