Bromley are finally into the coveted top level of non-league football after many years of chasing that elusive promotion. The Ravens spent the last six seasons in the Conference South and did come quite close to getting promoted the previous year, finishing third in the table after being leaders for long time. But the ambitious owners of the club and manager, Mark Goldberg, were determined to finally steer the London club into the Premier division and serious investment in the squad over the last summer paid off. Bromley were always in the mix for the title from start to finish and held their nerve well in the final month to see off the challenge of Boreham Wood and finish as champions. It was not easy but Bromley deserved it at the end as they have played some excellent football over the season while also being entertaining. Now the aim is to give a good account of themselves in the top division of non-league and continue the upward progression of recent seasons. Continuity is important for any side who have gotten promoted and Goldberg has generally managed to retain the core of the squad that secured the big prize. Danny Waldren is the one more important departure but he is hardly irreplaceable. On the other hand, the newcomers have bought well and especially in Max Portrer and Lee Minshull have a pair of excellent and experienced midfielders. The other new singings are mostly going to provide cover to what is already a strong-looking starting 11 that should not be out of place in this division. Moses Ademola, Ali Fuseini and Rob Swaine are the standout players in it but the likes of Lois Dennis and Anthony Cook have the potential to shine in the new division as well. Overall, Bromley are looking good ahead of their maiden season at this level and should be in and around the midfield places.

Target

Ambitious and with a strong squad but play-offs should be beyond them.
