Vladimir Ivic only had half a season in charge of Krasnodar last term in what was an underwhelming campaign in sixth place. Krasnodar have set about trying to cut down their large squad over the summer and have not brought in many additions. However, the signing of versatile full-back Aleksandr Ektov looks like a shrewd piece of business. As for outgoings, the main loss is in the form of Cristian Ramirez. That will hopefully be offset by the arrival of Ektov. Elsewhere, there has been more defensive departures in the form of Vyacheslav Litvinov, Sergey Borodin, Oleg Isaenko and Evgeniy Chernov. However, there has also been some departures in midfield and attack, with the main losses being in Aleksey Ionov and Vyacheslav Yakimov. Going forward is where Krasnodar should prosper. The likes of Eduard Spertsyan and Jhon Cordoba should continue to shine next term. The pair scored 24 goals and provided 18 assists combined last term. There doesn't seem to be much depth at the back for Krasnodar. They will likely look to youth products if needed. Defence was an issue last term as well and they will have to improve at the back if they are to improve next season.
