When he took the reins of PSV in 2023/2024, after years spent wandering around Europe, Peter Bosz did not expect to have such an impact on the Eindhoven outfit and Dutch football altogether. Since then, PSV have become the Eredivisie dominators, clinching 3 titles in a row again after almost 20 years. Last season, they started the campaign slowly, losing points to Telstar and Ajax early on, but made the top of the league by mid-November and maintained it until the end, keeping second-placed Feyenoord well at bay. While they held by far the best league attack, with 101 goals scored, they only had the 5th-best defence, conceding 45 goals. Despite their triumph, PSV displayed problems: they underperformed again in the Champions League, not even making the knockout stage, while Bosz had to juggle around due to injuries to key players. The transfer campaign has not been impressive yet. Goalie Kovar, who earned himself the number 1 spot over Olij last season, was signed permanently while Drommel returned from a positive stint at Sparta Rotterdam. Last season, Schouten, naturally a midfielder, became a protagonist at the back since both Flamingo and Obispo disappointed and, unless they find valid alternatives, he could be confirmed at centre-back again. They are also running short of full-backs, with Anass-Eddine back to Roma, versatile Mauro Junior also acting in the midfield and Sildillia still in need of proving his worth. The midfield was certainly the area where PSV excelled, with Veerman and Saibari shining. The latter attracted Bayern Munchen interest and left for loads of cash: he will be replaced by Mijnans, coming off a great season at AZ. The attack was heavily affected by injuries last season with attacking midfielder Til adapted at striker with great results: Pepi and Plea will be hoped to be fit this time around. On the wings, Bajraktarevic and Man did well last season, but Van Bommel is just back from injury and aging Perisic is considering a move.

Target

Favourites for the title, still need to complete the squad if they want to be protagonists in Europe too.
