Derby County

In Brief

Two straight league defeats for Derby as Frank Lampard struggles. Marcus Olsson and Curtis Davies injured. Scott Malone, Tom Huddlestone, George Thorne, Harry Wilson and Chris Martin doubtful.

Looking Back

Suddenly there is some immediate pressure on Frank Lampard after a very disappointing couple of weeks. He has lost his last two games as Derby manager despite the successful opening day win at Reading and now badly needs a result.

The Rams were distinctly second best at Millwall on Saturday, only turning up in the second half, and eventually going down 2-1 with sub Dave Nugent netting a consolation.

Looking Ahead

The big loss over the last fortnight has been defender Curtis Davies and he is again missing for this one along with Marcus Olsson.

Harry Wilson missed out on Saturday with a knock and he is doubtful along with Scott Malone who went off with a niggle, his replacement Craig Forsyth impressing anyway. Tom Huddlestone, George Thorne and Chris Martin are again likely to miss out.

Points of Interest

Derby's previous home game saw them humbled 4-1 by Leeds.

Ipswich Town

In Brief

Ipswich still awaiting first win of season. Tayo Edun suspended. Emyr Huws and Tom Adeyemi injured.

Looking Back

Ipswich battled hard to pick up a point in a 1-1 home draw with Aston Villa. They played the majority of the game with ten men after Tayo Edun was sent off on his full league debut. Trevoh Chalobah scored his first goal for the club in that game.

Ipswich have still not won under new boss Paul Hurst in four league and cup games and will be desperate for that to change at Derby.

Looking Ahead

Edun will be suspended for one game after his dismissal for two bookings so Hurst is forced into at least one change.

Emyr Huws and Tom Adeyemi both remain out for Ipswich due to injury.

Points of Interest

Ipswich's previous away match saw them lose in the last minute at Rotherham 1-0 despite having the better of that game. Ipswich won 1-0 at Derby last term but the Rams won 2-1 at Portman Road.
