In Brief

Leeds march on with dramatic win at Aston Villa. Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Jamal Blackman, Conor Shaughness and Gaetano Berardi injured. Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford doubts. Samuel Saiz will not be involved after agreeing loan move away from club.

Looking Back

Leeds secured a dramatic 3-2 win at Aston Villa on Sunday having been 2-0 down. Kemar Roofe scored the winner deep into stoppage time for his 11th of the campaign.

Ensured they were top on Christmas Day but boss Marcelo Bielsa will not allow standards to slip.

Looking Ahead

Progress has been all the more surprising given the academy prospects they have used. Leif Davis was the latest to make his debut on Sunday after Barry Douglas pulled out of the warm-up with illness. Douglas will now be assessed.

Patrick Bamford is also set to miss out after he failed to make the squad with a knee problem on Sunday just after he had returned from injury.

Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Jamal Blackman, Conor Shaughness and Gaetano Berardi all remain long-term absentees.

Jack Clarke is pushing for a start after his first Leeds goal on Sunday after coming on as sub.

Points of Interest

Have seven wins, three draws and just one loss at Elland Road this term.

Blackburn Rovers

Last updated: Wed 26 December 2018 18:30
In Brief

Blackburn poor form continues with Norwich loss. Craig Conway and Elliott Bennett could return. Ben Gladwin and Dominic Samuel injured. Charlie Mulgrew and Harrison Reed doubtful.

Looking Back

Form has been poor of late with no wins in last three matches.

Disappointed again on Saturday as they went down to a narrow 1-0 loss at home to high-flying Norwich on Saturday, a rare poor day in front of goal.

Looking Ahead

Charlie Mulgrew and Harrison Reed were both ill on Saturday. Mulgrew went off at half-time while Reed soldiered on but both will be assessed.

Craig Conway and Elliott Bennett could both return.

Ben Gladwin and Dominic Samuel are both still sidelined.

Points of Interest

Have three wins, four draws and four losses on the road this term. Beat Leeds 2-1 at home earlier in season.
