Mood is high following 2-1 away win over Sampdoria. Face Lazio for the Italian Super Cup without Chiellini and Khedira. Szczesny and Alex Sandro in the squad.

Looking Back

Juventus imposed their play over Sampdoria in the first half, despite conceding once due to a defensive mistake. Were put under pressure during the second half but resisted well.

Ronaldo is on fire as he scored 6 goals in the last 5 overall. Dybala is also in form and scored again. Alex Sandro served 2 assists and initiated opponents' goal. Higuain did not leave a mark on the match.

Looking Ahead

Won the last 3 in a row overall, but no clean sheets since the beginning of November as they conceded at least 1 goal in the last 5 Serie A games. Face Lazio for the Italian Super Cup, they have already won this trophy 8 times.

Chiellini, who was included in the squad anyway, and Khedira are out. Szczesny should have overcome muscular problems. Alex Sandro picked up a problem last time out but he also recovered in time to make the squad.

Bentancur is back from suspension.

The match will be played at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.

With Dybala, Higuain and Ronaldo in the attack, Danilo would act at right-back as he has a more defensive attitude. Otherwise, Cuadrado should play, with Bernardeschi or Ramsey as the attacking midfielders and Dybala preferred to Higuain up-front. Alex Sandro could be considered instead of De Sciglio at left-back.

Points of Interest

Juventus triumphed 8 times in the competition. This is the 5th time they face Lazio for the Super Cup. So far, they won 2 and lost 2.

I don't know if we are going forward or backward, I only know that lately I am having fun in training and playing. For me this is fundamental. If I have fun it means that the team is trying to play the football that I proposed and if I am having fun it is because I have the feeling that despite the defects we can still improve a lot. The goal must always be utopian, with perfection as our goal we will always be unhappy and being always unhappy we will always have incentives to improve.

We are playing with great continuity. We have flaws, but we have great continuity. We played 23 games and lost one, there is continuity. We come from two games in which we made a great first half tactically and in the second half in which we neglected certain works we stretched out a bit. It is part of most of the course and in a minimal part of the module, because it is very expensive for certain roles and it can be that in the end we are less lucid to keep distances between the departments and between the players.

Unfortunately Chiellini comes from a traumatic injury that has pre-established times. Until February he will not be available, Szczesny returned to the team two days ago so he is available, De Sciglio has always been well in recent times. Ramsey and Douglas Costa have returned, clearly they must face a situation of physical growth. At this moment we only have Chiellini and Khedira outside who are returning from two knee surgeries.

In Brief

Confidence is high following last-second 2-1 away win over Cagliari. Face Juventus for the Super Cup without Vavro.

Looking Back

Started poorly against Cagliari and seemed incapable of equalising despite putting opponents under heavy pressure for most of the second half. In fact, risked a lot succumbing but injury time effort paid off.

Caicedo came on and scored a winner, like against Sassuolo. Strakosha kept them alive. Luis Alberto offered a poor performance with exception of the injury time. Correa was the most dangerous one. Immobile was quite useless.

Looking Ahead

Lazio won the last 8 in the domestic league and are closer to the top. Last lost in week 5. Just 3 clean sheets in the last 11.

Will face Juventus for the Italian Super Cup after defeating them just 1 week ago. They will enjoy a full week of rest unlike opponents, who will play in midweek.

Vavro and Lukaku should be out. Luis Alberto has shrugged off a minor issue.

Luis Alberto, Acerbi, Parolo, Lulic and Leiva are one yellow card away from suspension.

Inzaghi should confirm the XI that defeated Cagliari.

Points of Interest

Lazio triumphed 4 times in the competition. Overall, in the 4 finals against Juventus, they scored 5 goals and conceded 9.

Tomorrow's game will be different from the championship game. We will play the first trophy of the season and it will be a different match, no mistakes will have to be made. The two teams can be dangerous at any moment. We are in an excellent moment, we are back from eight consecutive championship successes, we have had different certainties for a long time and we have known each other for a long time. In three and a half years we are in the fourth final. Tomorrow a different game awaits us, in one hundred twenty minutes we play a trophy: in the championship there is time to recover.

We know what kind of team we will face, we hope to offer a perfect game and hoping to bring home this trophy. It will be difficult, but we will do our best. We have a team full of quality players that the club has been good at preserving: I have always wanted to keep our best players to add to these grafts that could raise the technical level of the squad.
