In Brief

Entrup likely to start. Pfeifer returns. RB is an issue; Heil has been filling in. Ehlmann will be out until 2024. Pfeifer returns. Frieser/Karamarko reportedly doubtful.

Looking Back

Because of the hot temperatures, plastic pitch, and overly defensive nature of part-timers Favoritner AC, TSV Hartberg were ran awfully close in the recent OFB-Cup match, narrowly winning 3-2 thanks to starting the second-half well.

Looking Ahead

Two debut goals for striker Entrup is likely to ensure that he keeps his place in the eleven.

After being forced to sit out the last match through suspension, Pfeifer returns and should replace Schutti at left-back. His return should mean that they have a fully fit squad to choose from.

They've been forced into fielding midfielder Heil at right-back of late, clearly not trusting Kovacevic to do the job there because of his age. They got away with it against an amateur team; unlikely that Bundesliga clubs will be as charitable.

Have managed to loan Sangare from Salzburg again; shouldn't be any issues with him going straight into the squad as he has been at the club before.

Backup goalkeeper Ehlmann has undergone shoulder surgery. He will not be back playing until after the winter break. They're actively looking around for a suitable replacement.

Following his suspension in the OFB-Cup, Pfeifer returns to the squad.

Although regulars last season, Karamarko and Frieser are not listed above as both are reportedly doubtful. The latter is alleged to have an injury that kept him out of their last, and the former continues to be linked with a move from the club. Latter is very hard to replace; former is not so hard now that Komposch and Bowat have joined.

In Brief

Rhein now unlikely to play. Diaby may start. No confirmed absentees.

Looking Back

Annihilated part-timers Silz/Motz 8-0 in the OFB-Cup recently. It was all over by HT, not that that prevented Cisse from bagging a couple more goals after the restart. Austria Lustenau looked very sharp throughout.

Looking Ahead

German midfielder Rhein missed the OFB-Cup match because of illness. He was expected to be back for this game but he's really struggled with flu, and has been restricted to individual training. The manager seemed resigned to being without him for this game. Therefore, Tiefenbach may replace him again.

After an impressive cameo, Diaby should start, which would see Fridrikas play further forward and Schmid drop to the bench.

No significant absentees have been reported. There's no reason for a formation switch but a slightly stronger eleven should be favoured due to the nature of their opponents.
