In Brief

Unlike to change anything. Bench looms for Mitrovic. Ibrahimi injured.

Looking Back

Hammered WSG Tirol 4-2 in the relegation six-pointer before the international break. Lightning start + formation/personnel switch in the second-half was paramount for the win.

Looking Ahead

New defender Pasic is back after injury, and will play in a midweek friendly as he builds fitness. The Bundesliga weekend match will come too soon for him though.

Midfielder Tursch has been absent of late; he has a serious cruciate ligament injury but is not missed.

Captain Brandner returned last match. May still be on the bench due to poor form though. Indeed, there's no real reason for them to change anything after a strong performance in Tirol, which may again result in Mitrovic being benched.

RWB Windhager has an ankle injury; unclear as to the severity. Backup RWB Golles has done seriously well when used this season though, so no concerns.

Rotation option Ibrahimi has suffered a broken metatarsal. Not a loss.

Backup defender Softic is injured; not a problem.

In Brief

Strauss suspended. Situation unclear with Schutzenauer. Sanctions may be levied against the club. CB problem may be solved; Reiner close.

Looking Back

Lost a friendly 4-3 against FC Winterthur during the international break. No new injuries were reported, but in addition to Jager, Bahre, Nuhiu, Stojanovic, and Gugganig being rested, Bischof, Schutzenauer, and Koller were absent without explanation.

Were really unlucky to lose 2-1 against Sturm Graz before the international break. Were the better side for long spells but a last-minute Fuseini goal consigned them to defeat.

Looking Ahead

May face sanctions from the Austrian FA after fan riots against Sturm Graz resulted in police officers being injured. Investigation underway.

After missing the friendly against FC Winterthur without explanation, Schützenauer is a doubt but Bischof and Koller should return following international commitments. Bahre, Stojanovic, Nuhiu, Jager, and Gugganig were all rested for that game, and should return.

Midfielder Bukta is carrying a long-term injury. He did not make either squad so far this season. Not a loss with Gebauer available, although it could be if they lose the latter.

Despite defensive regular Strauss returning recently following his failed transfer to Barnsley, he's now suspended after picking up two bookings last match, the second of which was for dissent so it was very avoidable. A big loss at a time when they cannot afford any more absentees.

Ingolitsch may debutise but fitness is again the main question mark with him.

CB problem may be solved despite Strauss being suspended. Reiner very likely to return; should at least make the bench if a starting berth is beyond him. Koller also reportedly available.
