AC Ajaccio are braced for another difficult season after successive campaigns only narrowly avoiding relegation to the third tier. The Corsicans have kept on coach Olivier Pantaloni, who is under contract until 2018 and who did more than enough to keep Ajaccio up last season, with only a slump in the run-in leading to a late scare. However, they have seen some key players leave and have serious financial problems -- the sale of youngster Vincent Marchetti to AS Nancy-Lorraine was surely all about bringing in much-needed funds. Pantaloni has signed Yann Boe-Kane from Red Star to bolster his midfield but the squad looks seriously short in other areas, especially up front. "Honestly, if we manage to stay up, it will be a great achievement," said Pantaloni.
