Inverness with rookie manager Billy Dodds began the season on fire by taking 19 of the first 21 points available. However, that form didn’t last and they also had a spell of 11 games without a win during the season. They coped well with significant injuries and finished the season in 3rd place. They dumped media-darlings Arbroath out of the play-offs but lost out to St Johnstone. Veteran defender Kirk Broadfoot has dropped down the leagues to Broomhill. Loanees and regular starters last season Chalmers, McAlear and Hardy have all returned to their parent clubs. Other departures were young fringe players who were not making the grade. Boosting ICT’s defence are Max Ram who was a regular at Hungerford Town last season and Zak Delaney with 29 appearances in a loan spell at Bath. Nathan Shaw is added to midfield from AFC Fyle. Danny MacKay and George Oakley both return for second spells at Inverness. Steven Boyd adds more depth to their attack. Inverness had a strong start and a strong finish last season. The middle third was a disaster that cost them a title challenge with Kilmarnock and Arbroath. Their signings are not spectacular but, if they can eradicate the poor form they had in the middle of last season, then their squad has enough depth to mount a challenge for the title.
