In their first year back in the top flight after a 9-year absence Jaro did well. Stayed out of trouble all campaign and very nearly even made the top 6, missed out on Play-off I only by 3 points. In the end finished as champions of Play-off II with their survival confirmed after only one round into the play-offs. Kerfala Cissoko’s 16 goals were the main reason for the calm year and everyone at the club was sad to see the prolific striker leave this winter. Star playmaker Eremenko also departed, leaving many unknowns regarding how effective the forward actions will be in 2026. On top of that after 2 great years in charge coach Vidjeskog resigned at the end of 2025 tempted by a better offer abroad. For the new season inexperienced Jens Karlsson is given his first head coach job. He was assistant coach at Kalmar in Sweden for the past 3 years. Karlsson brought two Swedish forwards with him. Zetterström is expected to replace Cissoko’s productivity up front. Sjögrell is a winger that can also operate as a secondary striker when needed. Another exciting new winger to join the front line is Luca Weckström. However, the main goal will be to develop the club’s prodigy Rudi Vikström. Only age 17 he scored 6 goals last season, mainly off the bench. Now a year older he is seen as a potential regular starter and a strong candidate for the award Young Player of the Season. New Norwegian midfielders Pedersen and Skau should provide the all-important protection to the back line. Captain Brunell will soon be 36-years-old but he remains the undisputed leader of the back line.

Target

The main objective is to avoid relegation.
