In Brief

Good away win against Chapecoense. Third consecutive win puts Botafogo in a safe position. Lindoso returns from suspension. Kieza will be available.

Looking Back

Botafogo got yet another win, this time when visiting the struggling Chapecoense. A goal on the later stage of the match made the difference, but it was all in all a fair win for Fogão.

This was the third time in a row that Botafogo got victorious, and this good recent form has practically took them out of danger. Even if Botafogo loses all matches from now on, it is almost impossible that all the teams below Fogão on the table will be climbing on the table enough spots to bring Botafogo down to the red zone. Because of direct confrontations, there will always be some teams dropping points, necessarly.

Looking Ahead

Highly influential midfielder Rodrigo Lindoso will be coming back after having spent the last match out on a suspension. Lindoso will retain his post on the cnetre of the pitch.

The striker Kieza is also back to availability. K-9 is recovered from a foot injury, but having had only one training session before the match, the striker should be sitting on the bench when the games starts.

Despite being on loan from Interncional, the striker Brenner will be allowed to play, as there's nothing on his loan contract that says the opposite. Brenner will then be leading Alvinegro's attack.

Points of Interest

The two men that are returning are the highest goalscorers of the club since coach Zé Ricardo arrived at the club, with five goals scored each.

In Brief

Good home win over struggling América. Title is still possible. D'Alessandro returns from suspension. Fabiano is suspended. Pottker is out on injury.

Looking Back

Internacional managed not to get behind on the title race by doing minimal services against the deep troubled América and winning 2-0 with two goals scored during the first half, and a pure management done on the second one. Damião and Edenilson scored and assisted each other.

Despite very difficult, the title is still within reach for Colorados. It will require that Palmeiras will lose six points in the remaining four rounds, but at least Internacional is making things last a bit more and make Palmeiras get their party done only in the final rounds. Internacional is five points away from Verdão.

Looking Ahead

The iconic attacking midfielder D'Alessandro will be returning to the team after having served a match ban, but it isn't totally guaranteed that the Argentinean will be having his spot on the starting lineup. D'Alessandro forces the team to change their formation and this 2-0 solid win over América reminded the time when Internacional was more dominant, which was when they played with a straight 4-3-3 formation with Dourado, Edenilson and Patrick in the centre, two wingers and Damião on the centre.

Full-back Fabiano will be serving a match ban next game, and will need to be replaced. Zeca will be stepping in. It shouldn't be much of a worry for Odair Hellmann, as Zeca has been a first team player for a while, proving to be a competent option for the place.

The forward William Pottker is back at being injured. After returning to availability slightly less than a week ago, Pottker is now back at being injured. He is back at having muscular discomfort on his leg and did not took part of the group that travelled to Rio de Janeiro.

Points of Interest

Internacional will want to repeat the performance that gave them a 3-0 home win over Botafogo, back in July.
