In Brief

Youngsters impressed in Europa League success in Frankfurt. Have point to prove after horror show from last weekend. Lacazette sidelined. Tierney, Bellerin and Mavropanos fitness doubts. Kolasinac fresh concern.

Looking Back

Arsenal were dreadful last weekend when throwing away 2-goal lead vs. Watford and lucky to save draw after allowing Hornets 31 attempts on goal!

Things were much better on Thursday when despite the huge luck involved and 2 late goals Gunners celebrated 3:0 away win vs. Eintracht Frankfurt at start of Europa League. Youngster Wilock and Saka were the heroes of this match.

Looking Ahead

Coach Emery heavily criticised for his unchanging ‘play out of the back’ tactics, but knowing him he won’t bulge and continue asking his players to do it his way. Soon better options will be available, with all of Tierney, Bellerin and Mavropanos back in training.

Sokratis and Ozil spared midweek trip to Germany so they look certain to start now, but Kolasinac sustained knock in Frankfurt and needs quick assessment. Aubameyang will continue as centre forward with Lacazette sidelined.

In Brief

Unable to beat ten-man West Ham at home. Yet to earn points on the road. Captain Chester and Kodjia remain out. Trezeguet back after ban.

Looking Back

Villains failed to beat ten-man West Ham at home on Monday, with 0:0 draw seen as disappointing result after presented opportunity. Lacked creativity in the final third in this game.

Lost both away league matches so far, with both those games in London – 1:3 vs. Tottenham and 0:1 vs. Crystal Palace.

Grealish having poor season so far, top chart for most unsuccessful dribbles and only 9% of his shot attempts on target.

Looking Ahead

Coach Smith has Trezeguet back from ban and the Egyptian likely to start. Kodjia still unavailable, but Wesley seems cemented up front at the minute anyway.

Defenders Chester and Targett train again, but only latter declared fit and and available.
