Arsenal

In Brief

Cruised to easy Europa League win in midweek. Domestic form, particularly at home, also solid. Lacazette remains sidelined, but no other issues.

Looking Back

Arsenal used heavy rotation for Europa League’s home match vs. Standard Liege and still 2 very early goals paved the way to an easy 4:0 success. Young Martinelli was once again the hero with his early brace, he also scored 2 goals in recent League Cup match.

Only Premier League defeat so far was on visit to leaders Liverpool, but Gunners need wins after 3 draws in last 4 rounds.

Remain impressive at home, able to score 2 goals or more in every home match so far this season on way to 4 wins and 1 draw.

Looking Ahead

Coach Emery rested hot Aubameyang in midweek, but now Gabonese striker will lead the line. He has had major contribution in every round so far.

With Lacazette the only player still sidelined many other changes expected too. Young Saka could start again.

In Brief

Able to find back of net in every Premier League game so far. Already with 2 away wins too. Still missing 4 players + Adam Smith and Mepham ruled out. Fraser expected back.

Looking Back

Bournemouth so far have scored, but also conceded, in every Premier League game played. Last weekend came from behind to earn deserved 2:2 home draw vs. West Ham.

Won 2 of 3 away games so far, but both those were against struggling teams and over the years Clarets not known for causing ‘Big Six’ too many problems away from home.

Looking Ahead

Coach Howe has more options, with fit-again captain Francis pushing for start at right-back. Fraser expected to make this trip if he overcomes illness on time. Mepham injured in training and he joins 5 others as sidelined.

Danjuma another one that started season injured, but now fit and pushing for first start.

Points of Interest

Lost all of 4 away games vs. Arsenal so far, with 3 goals or more conceded in the last 3 of those games.
