Milton Keynes Dons

Last updated: Sun 18 November 2018 08:04
In Brief

Milton Keynes Dons are coming from a 3:2 EFL Trophy win over Brighton's U21 side. Out of the FA Cup after falling to a defeat at Grimsby. Conor McGrandles is fit again. Joe Walsh is expected to miss out.

Looking Back

Milton Keynes Dons are coming from a 3:2 EFL Trophy win over Brighton's U21 side. As he normally does in the competition, Paul Tisdale rotated his side heavily.

The Dons were unable to carry their fine league form over to the FA Cup, as they crashed out of the competition after succumbing to a defeat at Grimsby.

Tisdale's men are yet to lead the league this season but have been moving up the table lately. They are now second, two points below leaders Lincoln.

Looking Ahead

Conor McGrandles is finally over his recent injury issues and will be available. Ousseynou Cisse has also recently returned to fitness and is available.

However, the likes of Peter Pawlett, Mathieu Baudry and Osman Sow all continue to struggle with their respective issues. While Sow is close to returning, Pawlett has suffered a setback in his bid to regain full fitness, while now updates on Baudry have been given.

Joe Walsh has picked up an injury in the previous game. The defender will be given as much time as possible to prove his fitness but is expected to miss out.

Points of Interest

Milton Keynes Dons have won six of their last seven games. This is twice as many victories as they managed in their opening ten.

Macclesfield Town

Last updated: Sun 18 November 2018 08:04
In Brief

Macclesfield are coming from an EFL Trophy win over WBA's U23 side. Their abysmal season continued with a 2:1 FA Cup defeat at Maidstone. Callum Evans is fit again.

Looking Back

Macclesfield are coming from a midweek 2:1 EFL Trophy win over WBA's U23 side. It was a game in which their caretaker manager duo rotated heavily, so the win is unlikely to be too much of a boost to the confidence of their regulars.

Their season so far has been a horror show, as they remain rooted to the bottom of the League Two table, with theirs search for a new manager ongoing. Their last week's game saw their FA Cup run come to an end at the first hurdle, as they suffered a 2:1 defeat at Maidstone.

Looking Ahead

Callum Evans made his return to the squad in midweek and the defender will once again be available for selection.

Danny Whitaker and Jordan Ponticelli both remain unavailable for selection.

Points of Interest

Macclesfield, who are set to face the Dons for the first time since 2010, are yet to record a win over their upcoming opponents, having recorded three defeats and two draws in the previous five meetings.
