In Brief

Woods is cup-tied. Leonard has a chance to return. Thompson and Fieding remain out. Williams still suspended.

Looking Back

Played a really good game at home against Reading last weekend and were good value for a 2:0 win, even if both goals came towards the end of the game. Now on a run of four wins in the last five and have lost once in the last 14.

Made light work of Newport County for a 3:0 home win in the previous round.

Looking Ahead

The Lions entertain a solid and impressive Sheffield United side on Saturday as Gary Rowett looks to inspire his men to a big performance as they chase a Premier League scalp and a spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Ryan Woods had a fine debut in midfield last weekend but he is cup-tied for tis enchanter. Shaun Williams is still suspended and this means that options are quite limited in midfield, with Ben Thompson still sidelined alongside Frank Fielding. At least Ryan Leonoard is back training and has an outside chance of being involved after a significant spell out.

Rowett confirmed that changed will be made for the game ahead of a clash against Leeds coming up in midweek.

Points of Interest

Millwall have claimed a number of Premier League scalps in the FA Cup in recent years, beating Leicester, Watford, Bournemouth and Everton since 2017.

Sheffield United

In Brief

Despite valiant effort lost 0:1 at home vs. Man City on Tuesday. Heavy rotation likely. McGoldrick doubtful, but no other issues.

Looking Back

Blades defending stoically for very long when Man City paid them visit on Tuesday, but players got visibly tired late on and decisive goal was conceded with time running out.

In first FA Cup game edged amateurs Flyde 2:1 at home with veteran Clarke scoring his first goal in 18 months in that match.

Looking Ahead

Coach Wilder certain to rotate heavily and many fringe players expected to be given chance. Clarke could lead attack again, with other scorer from game vs. Flyde Robinson also hoping to start.

McGoldrick likely to be passed fit on time and this will mean clean bill of health.

Points of Interest

No draw in any of 12 previous matches between sides hosted by Millwall – 8 wins hosts and 4 for Sheffield.
