In Brief

Poor form continued with 2:3 home defeat vs. Wolves at weekend. FA Cup only chance to win silverware this season. Captain Lloris, Son, Kane and Sissoko sidelined. Sessegnon set to feature.

Looking Back

Spurs once again looked extremely shaky defensively on Sunday when hosting Wolves in direct clash for 5th place in the league. Despite taking the lead twice Lilywhites were very poor at the back and ended up losing 2:3.

In both FA Cup rounds so far needed replays to overcome Middlesbrough and Southampton, with team’s form declining badly ever since the turn of the year.

Problems in every area of the pitch, defenders keep committing individual errors, midfielders lack quality on the ball and absence of 2 main strikers hurting forward efficiency badly.

Looking Ahead

Coach Mourinho expected to use strong line-up and both Alderweireld and Vertonghen hope to start, with Lamela and Ndombele also pushing for inclusion.

All of Son, Kane and Sissoko long-term absentees and bitterly missed. Also groin injury means captain Lloris is absent. Sessegnon over minor strain though and he could even start.

In Brief

Survival in Premier League priority and not looking for long run in FA Cup. Hernandez, Zimmermann, Klose and Byram sidelined. Tettey and Pukki sick.

Looking Back

Norwich resurrected survival hope in the league on Friday night after late 1:0 home win against Leicester. The 2 full-backs combined for the late goal that brought the 3 points and moved Canaries just 4 points off safety.

In FA Cup so far achieved 2 impressive away wins – 4:2 vs. Preston and 2:1 vs. Burnley. This despite using mostly back up players in both matches.

Just over a month ago suffered undeserved 1:2 defeat on league visit to Tottenham, while back in December held Lilywhites to 2:2 home draw.

Looking Ahead

Coach Farke set to rotate and many fringe players likely to be used. Vrancic very likely starter, with Drmic and Idah also expected to be involved and give top scorer Pukki rest.

Zimmermann failed late fitness test + 3 others are long-term absentees and not expected back before May.

Both Tettey and Pukki fell sick and not expected to travel.
