In Brief

Anya, Bielik, Huddlestone and Holmes remain out.

Looking Back

Stopped a recent disappointing run of form with a fine 3:1 success on the road against Sheffield Wednesday that kept them safely in mid-table and stopped a four-game winless streak.

Earned a spot in this round of the FA Cup afte eventually dispatching lowly Northampton via a replay.

Looking Ahead

At home against Manchester United in what is a huge FA Cup game for the Rams as they aim to pul ff a massive upset and keep alive the hopes of getting to Wembley.

Squad is unchanged compared to the last game as there are no fresh worries. Duane Holmes and Tom Huddlestone remain out and thus midfield options are limited. Ikechi Anya and Kristiyan Bielik are out for the long term.

Points of Interest

Derby have faced United quite often in recent years, knocking them out in the League Cup last season while losing 2:0 in 2018 and 3:1 in 2016 in recent FA Cup games.

In Brief

Fortunate to save 1:1 draw vs. Everton at weekend. Yet to concede in FA Cup – 3 consecutive clean sheets. Rashford and Pogba remain sidelined. Wan-Bissaka and James major doubts.

Looking Back

United outplayed on visit to Everton on Sunday and only vital help from officials, yet again VAR saw only things favouring Red Devils, and some decisive defensive interventions by Maguire helped for 1:1 draw to be saved.

In FA Cup so far eliminated Wolves after nervy replay and just 1 goal scored in 2 matches, before cruising past Tranmere 6:0. Yet to concede goal in this competition.

Bruno’s form has been excellent since joining, with Martial also playing much better lately (scored in 3 of last 4 games).

Looking Ahead

Coach Solskjaer still without 2 star players Pogba and Rashford, also he could be tempted to rest some of his regulars in this one. Bruno and Martial looked very tired on Sunday.

Ighalo could get first start in attack, while struggling for form James (hasn’t scored since August) nurses injury and unlikely to feature. Due to back pain Wan-Bissaka also not expected to be risked.

Manager Comments

“Yeah [James will] probably miss out on this one as well and Marcus and Paul are still out and I think Aaron might be struggling,”
