Were pumped 4-0 by Salzburg at the weekend. It was never remotely close to being anything but a massacre, especially not when it was revealed that Maak wasn't playing.
The situation with Captain Maak is unclear. He was cleared to return at CB last match after playing in the Cup match midweek but may have actually aggravated the back problem as he didn't make the weekend squad. He will not be risked here; a big loss.
Star striker Fridrikas is back in training after injury but won't play until after the international break; not an issue with Frederiksen now in their squad. Schmid is 50/50; not a loss if he fails.
Need to change things offensively so may drop Rhein deeper in order to bring Surdanovic into the eleven, and may keep Anderson in a more advanced role too.
Regular defender Diallo is injured. A fairly large problem. Berger should deputise.
Rapid Vienna

Drew 0-0 away from home in the Vienna derby at the weekend. A pretty insipid display from both teams in attack. Rapid barely managed to create a chance even when their hosts were reduced to nine men.
Key striker Burgstaller is reportedly back in training after injury. Unlikely to make this game but given their goal-scoring woes of late, they may force him back.
Suffered a huge blow when Captain Cvetkovic tore a cruciate ligament. He's been amazing so it's a big problem that he'll be out for a long time, most likely until the end of 2023.
After a period of rehabilitation following injury, it's understood that Pejic will be available in the near future.
Regular CDM Kerschbaum returns from injury.
Rotation options Greil, Strunz, Moorman & Kaygin may be omitted.
Although back from injury, regular RB Schick has been benched lately whilst he gains fitness. Kasanwirjo is a good deputy.
