In Brief

Cardiff really not firing yet. Hammered at home to Luton in League Cup on Tuesday. Sol Bamba, Neil Etheridge and Marlon Pack injured. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Callum Paterson doubtful.

Looking Back

Cardiff have just seven points from their first five games so far and are really struggling to get going so far.

Tame goalless draw at Blackburn last weekend.

Were then trashed 3-0 at home by Luton in the League Cup on Tuesday.

Robert Gratzel is still awaiting his first goal for the club and is yet to impress.

Looking Ahead

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing remains a big doubt while Callum Paterson is another who has emerged as a doubt.

Sol Bamba, Neil Etheridge and Marlon Pack all remain sidelined.

Points of Interest

Decent home record despite indifferent start. Have won both of their two matches played this season on home soil.

Fulham

In Brief

Fulham lose unexpectedly to Nottingham Forest. Also lose at home Southampton in League Cup on Tuesday. Denis Odoi only doubt. Bobby Reid ineligible.

Looking Back

Not a great week for Fulham. They went down 2-1 at home to Nottingham Forest in the league last Saturday and then lost 1-0 at home to Southampton in the League Cup on Tuesday.

That followed a fine run of three straight wins and it appeared as if the Cottagers were hitting their stride until this poor week.

Aleksandar Mitrovic remains in excellent form. He has scored in each of his last four matches.

Looking Ahead

No new injuries have been reported. Scott Parker rested most of his side on Tuesday with this game given priority so it could be the same side that played against Forest.

Bobby Reid is not allowed to play against his parent club. Denis Odoi remains a huge doubt due to injury.

Points of Interest

Have one win and one defeat away from home this season.
