Bodø/Glimt had just about the perfect season last year as they played some sensational football on their way to a first league title in their history, wowing everyone in the country and breaking records along the way. Kjetil Knutsen will be dreaming of repeating these glory days in the season ahead but he is realistic enough to know that this will be pretty hard and Bodø now have a target on their backs and will be treated as a heavyweight by the rest of the league. The squad has been mostly maintained, even if it was expected after the title that bigger clubs will try to grab their starts. While losing Philip Zinckernagel and Kasper Junker, scorers of 46 combined goals last season, is a major blow, the fact that the superb midfield consisting of Patrick Berg and Ulrik Saltnes has been retained is a major bonus. Knutsen is banking on new additions Erik Botheim and Sondre Sorli to make up for the loss of their two big attacking players while also hoping that Victor Boniface can stay injury-free and prove reliable up front, having shown some real quality last season. Overall, Bodø/Glimt remain one of the top squads in the league despite the inevitable loss of key players and Knutsen will be confident that his men can once again be among the teams competing for European places.

Target

Will aim to battle for the top three and secure another European spot.
