Bodø/Glimt grabbed their third title in the last four years last season in what was an exciting battle with the likes of Viking and Brann, who pushed them all the way and made this team find new horizons and reach new heights in the closing weeks. It was a special effort from Kjetil Knutsen to make this team get the title after a rather difficult spell midway through the season and the manner in which he developed players like Faris Moumbanga, Albert Grønbaek, Odin Bjortuft and turned them into much more valuable assets was quite a sight to see. The Yellow and Blacks will be now looking to add to their catalogue of titles and look the team to beat again at the start of the new season. They did lose their two most prolific players from last season in Amahl Pellegrino and Moumbanga, and their presence will be hard to be replaced. Yet they also brought another old favourite back to the cling as Jens Petter Hauge joined on loan after seeing his career stagnate at Frankfurt over the last 18 months or so. He is still one of the best players in the league and can really blossom back into the devastating winger he was for Bodø back in 2020. Hakon Evjen is another one coming back to his old club in search of form and happiness, and he is expected to actually play as a false nine given the relative lack of options there. It is hard to find too many gaps in the squad and by any measure this team still holds the gold standard in the Eliteserien and it will take something special to dethrone them. The fact that Knutsen signed a new deal and appears to be going nowhere for now can only serve to discourage the competition even more.

Target

Keep the domination in the league and gunning for a stunning fourth title in the last five years.
