KFUM Oslo are the smallest club in the Eliteserien this season in what will be their first-ever campaign in the top-flight. The Red and Whites from the outskirts of the capital defied the odds and finished second in the OBOS Ligaen last season on the basis of good work ethic, efficiency and dedication from the start to the end of the campaign. They naturally look like the team facing the biggest challenge this season in a division with teams bringing 10,000 or 15,000 fans a week regularly, while the capacity of their stadium is barely 1500. Yet, Johannes Moesgaard proved a lot of people wrong with his team's heroics last season in what was his first-ever campaign as a firs-team manager and he will be surely filled with desire and drive to do it again with much spotlight now. KFUM added a couple of experienced options on the wing-back areas in Amin Nouri and Haitam Aleesami but generally this is mostly the same squad as the one that earned promotion last season. They play with three at the back and three up front in a 3-4-3 system, with the fluid front three comprised of young Obilor Okeke, mercurial and creative Remi-Andre Svindland, and dual-national striker Johannes Nunez. The defence does look pretty overmatched and lacking in speed and quality for the calibre of strikers in the Eliteserien and one suspects that, while this will be an exciting year ahead for KFUM, they are bound to struggle massively given the talent disparity.
