Haugesund had a pretty uninspiring season last year but never really seemed in danger of being dragged down to the bottom and mixed some good runs with rather disappointing ones. They now start the new season with mostly the same squad and an experienced manager in Jostein Grindhaug who knows the squad well and how to utilise their strengths. The main changes are up-front where Ibrahima Kone and Alexandr Ammitzboli are off to new challenges and Sondre Liseth arrived from Mjøndalen to lead the attack. It will be interesting to see whether talented players like Nicklas Sandberg and Kristtofer Velde continue to improve after being pretty important last year. However, there is quite little to really get excited about this Haugesund side as they have a base level that is pretty good for the Eliteserien and they have have few problems staying up, unless they hit a massive injury crisis early on and lose confidence. On the other hand, there are very real game changers in their squad too and it is hard to see this team getting anything more than a finish around the 10th place.

Target

Will look to consolidate in mid-table and stay clear of trouble.
