It was a largely disappointing 2018 for the Colorado Rapids and their manager Anthony Hudson. In his first season in charge, Hudson guided the Rapids to a 11th place finish in the Western Conference with just 31 points from their 34 games. Hudson's team collected just 8 league wins and had the worst attack in the MLS notching just 36 league goals. The Rapids lost over half their league games losing 19 and that is a woeful record with only 3 sides losing more. In an attempt to have a much better season, Hudson has completely revamped the squad with plenty of arrivals and departures. The likes of Zac MacMath, Giles Barnes have departed the club with Marlon Hairston departing for Houston Dynamo. However, Hudson has been busy boosting his side and he certainly has strengthened their attack by signing Kei Kamara and Diego Rubio. Kamara arrives with bags of experience and goals in the MLS, having made over 350 appearances scoring over 100 times. Rubio also arrives with a good record scoring 14 in 38 games for Sporting Kansas City. While Nicolas Mezquida also arrives to add some much needed creativity in midfield.

Target

Will be desperate to improve following their poor 2018 season. They will be pushing for a higher league finish from 2018 and that would represent a good season. Entertaining their fans would also be a major improvement having suffered for much of 2018.
