Captain McGeever will have to be organising the back line much better, with his regular partner from last season Buchanan also still in the squad. In midfield Carswell expected to play deeper after the addition of David Wilson. Dumbarton have experienced players in their ranks. In the lower division their forwards should be scoring lots more goals too. The main question remains if the defending could improve. The fact that no typical left-back available on the books also concerning. Right now veteran winger Wylde used to fill in at role.
