Finished just above the relegation zone last season, in what was poor and difficult campaign. Struggled at both ends of the pitch and had only 9 wins in 36 rounds. The summer so far had seen the size of the squad significantly reduced – 10 departures and only 5 new signings. The most important players to leave the club were wingers O’Keefe and Omar plus versatile full-back Spark. None of the 5 new signings made is a household name. Still, with only 3 centre-backs and 2 full-backs on the books the likes of Anderson and Cairns should see plenty of playing time. It seems that the manager is more likely to trust those that he trusted last season to try and improve the results. McHardy and captain Cooper set to have vital roles in defence. Cameron should be the key figure in midfield. Up front it’s all about how many goals Hester could contribute. The team’s main strength is probably their manager and geography. Most opponents would have long trips to Elgin. Coach Price is the oldest and also the longest-serving manager in the division. The lack of depth, especially in defence, plus the very tight budget this season are expected to create problems. The other major weakness could be the youthfulness of the team, only 2 players are aged 28 and older.

Target

Staying out of trouble is the main goal. Not holding major promotion hopes.
