Eupen had a pretty good season overall last year as they enjoyed runs of good form and were never really in danger of being dragged down into the bottom, while playing some good football under coach Benat San Jose. Yet the two parties agreed to part ways in the close season and the Pandas have a new coach in place in German Stefan Kramer, who has extensive experience in the lower divisions there. He will look to make the team more compact defensively and make the most of their chances in the final third as Eupen look to remain pretty competitive. It was been a rather quiet transfer window so far for Eupen as they have not really added any new players. At the same time, a few important players in Senna Miangue and Knowledge Musona are not around anymore and some others could well depart too. The squad still has some good quality players, especially in the final third in Smail Prevljak and Julien Ngoy, but they need more options in midfield, where Stef Peeters is often left to do too much on his own.

Target

Overall, Eupen hardly look like a side that is going to pull trees this season and actually may find themselves embroiled in a battle at the bottom end of the standings if they make a slow start.
