Won La Liga at something of a canter last season. Real Madrid's failings were one element of it, but Barcelona themselves were absolutely ruthless under Flick. Their pre-season recruits should allow them to once again challenge for the title here. Their pre-season transfer business was very strong. Although lightning fast, Rashford's 'ability' to run into dead ends frustrated them so instead they opted to sign a natural dribbler in Gordon, which is a step up. Although not expected to be a regular, having Adeyemi in their ranks (at something of a bargain price too) was a great bit of business - he's fast, strong, and has good movement. Needs to become a better finisher but can be a very good player for them. It's not clear whether winger Bissiwu will be considered a first-team player just yet but he could be a good impact sub for them. They also have the option of Hector Fort at right-back after a good campaign on loan last season, which presumably will hinge on whether they managed to acquire Cancelo on a permanent basis or not - currently he's back at his parent club. A striker is the only real cause for concern with Lewandowski having moved on, and Torres potentially following suit. They are actively seeking players but haven't moved on any yet. As good as Adeyemi is in general, he cannot score with the same ruthlessness as Lewandowski so not signing a better finisher could hurt them. They'll start the season without de Jong due to injury - he may not play in 2026. Nothing new there, though - not an issue for them. As long as Pedri improves on his World Cup form (despite being part of the winning squad), then there's no reason that they can't compete for the title this season, given that Flick is still around to steer the ship.
