Fortuna Sittard are coming off a positive season. Having started with the goal of staying in the Eredivisie, they never got involved in the relegation battle; in fact, they missed the playoffs by just two points and finished in 11th place. Coach Danny Buijs, confirmed as Sittarders' coach, has built a solid team. The only limitation was the lack of their leading scorer, Kaj Sierhuis, who was sidelined by injury for a long time. Their top scorer was Kristoffer Peterson, who scored just seven goals. There have been few significant changes so far this summer: important centre-back Rodrigo Guth left and two regular starters, midfielder Loreintz Rosier and striker Alessio da Cruz, have changed sides, while the most significant signing has been the experienced striker Paul Gladon. The goal is to repeat last season's path, but to do so, they need to strengthen their roster.

Target

They'll be fighting for survival, but they can count on a skilled coach like Danny Buijs.
