Considering they were a newly promoted team, NAC had a more than positive season. They finished 15th but were not involved in the relegation battle for long. After an understandably difficult start due to adapting to a higher division, coach Carl Hoefkens managed to build a solid team. The main problem was the attack, with just 34 goals scored they were the second worst in the Eredivisie. Precisely for this reason, the summer transfer campaign was focused on acquiring attackers. While their top scorer, Elías Már Ómarsson (8 goals), changed team, former Sparta and Almere player Charles-Andreas Brym arrived in Breda, as well as the young and promising Juho Talvitie, Brahim Ghalidi, and Moussa Soumano. There has also been a significant change in defence, where the experienced Jan Van den Bergh has left and been replaced by Rio Hillen, who comes from De Graafschap. In the pre-season they played 8 friendly matches, winning 2, drawing 3 and losing also 3. The goal is to avoid relegation. Much will depend on the impact of the new signings, young, talented, but little-known and inexperienced.

Target

The target is to remain in Eredivisie.
