PSV U21 were one of the biggest success stories of last season as they were near the top three pretty much throughout and that was a far cry from the struggles and the constantly woeful performances in the years prior. Stijn Schaars certainly won some admirers with the work he did last season as a manager and his task now is to build on that and ensure that the last campaign was not just a flash in the pan.
He has a pretty solid and capable squad with players who stepped up when needed last season and there is enough reason for optimism despite the squad getting stretched by several departures. Players like Sami Bouhoudane and Amir Bouhamdi are now primed for bigger roles in the final third and if they continue in the manner they finished last season, they could become quickly pretty vital. Further at the back, Madi Monamay is looking better after overcoming a knee injury and Wessel Kuhn is still around and he can easily start for any of the teams in this division his his versatility at the back.
Sol Sidibe anbd Jordy Bawuah are expected to provide the backbone in midfield and they are also a solid and pretty talented pair. They will also be definitely some new players breaking in and getting opportunities over the course of the season and it will be intriguing to see how this PSV side develops.

Build on the excellent last campaign and try to be among the top six again.
