ADO Den Haag had an unmitigated disaster of a season last year and were nowhere near the level expected from their fans, stuck in the lower end of the table throughout and never seriously threatening to make the play-offs. Veteran Dick Advocaat steppen down after the end of the season and it is time for a fresh start with Darje Kalezic at the helm. The Bosnian has plenty of experience managing in the Eerste Divisie and should guarantee a base level of quality and expertise that should make the team from the capital a strong play-off contender. That said, the ADO squad has lot quite a lot of quality over the summer as promising players Xander Severina and Finn van Breemen headed overseas while the leaders of the dressing room in Gregor Breinburg, Thomas Verheydt and Boy Kemper have left as well. ADO's best new signing so far this summer is Henk Veerman, who is probably the best striker in the division despite his advanced age, and should easily bring in 25-30 goals if the service is there. Otherwise, the squad looks quite pale and short of experience and creativity in some areas, especially in midfield. Some more incomings will be needed to make ADO one of the top six teams in the league and they certainly face a busy final few weeks of the transfer window if they are to have a chance to gain spot in the Eredivsie, which a club their size should absolute be aiming for.
