Den Bosch were never really able to escape the mantra as one of the three worst sides in the league last season and endured some genuine lows, like getting on a losing run on the road and also conceding 13 goals in a single game against Zwolle. There was a bit of positivity late in the season when Tomas Kaczmarek arrived as the new manager but he is really starting over now and will look to make this Den Bosch more flexible tactically and more effective than they have been so far. The Dragons have brought in some interesting players, among them striker Kacper Kostorz, from the manager's former club, and Georgian midfielder Shalva Ogbaidze, coming from Germany. Overall, all of the additions are players with a lot to prove who have not really been given too much of a chance to show their quality. The squad does have a leaner look after departures of some lesser-used players, while keeping quality players like Joey Konings and Steven van der Heijden around, and there is an outlook of a decent starting 11 that is ready to be something more than just propping up the table at the bottom end. Yet, there is no escaping the fact that Kaczmarek is working with a pretty limited squad in terms of talent and he can hardly do wonders with them right away.
