Finished 6th in Thai League One last season. Harboured some hopes of making it into the continental places toward the end of the season but fell away as they weren't consistent enough. Also made it to the Thai FA Cup final, and gave a really good account of themselves, but still lost 1-0 against Buriram United. Naturally, their above average campaign attracted interest in their players. They ended up selling Sanron to Buriram United, and Tsukagawa to Suwon, both of which will be hard to replace. They also lost a couple of players they lost pre-season which slightly impacts their depth, namely Veerachat and Sorada. It's not the end of the world, but they needed to do some work ahead of this campaign. In truth, they've not shown a lot of ambition to build upon last season's reasonable campaign. Aymen Thiangkham has joined to bolster their defence, Rei Tachikawa to add to their midfield, and Lucas Grossi to improve their attack. Nothing to write home about, really. However, their most recent signings have been the more impressive ones with Townsend and Tailson joining. The former has experience of this division, and the latter is a pretty safe bet, given the level he played at before. Both should substantially improve their attacking output. which was the only reason they didn't finish a little higher last season. Growing stagnant is a concern; sometimes it can happen when not enough fresh blood arrives. However, they've got a strong nucleus so should start well, and they've no continental football to distract them. There's no reason to expect anything less than last season, and if their newbies impress, they could even improve upon it.
