Last season was a mixed bag for them. Although they were never truly in danger of relegation, they also never really threatened to compete for a continental place. Lost boss Jakrapan Panpee, who left to manage Thailand U20. He was replaced by Aktaporn Chalitaporn, who was last employed by Sukhothai until the start of 2026. Their lack of ambition last season proved costly in the end. Not in terms of Thai League One, but in terms of keeping some of their best players. Their main attacking threat, Ryoma Ito, opted to move to local rivals Chonburi. Phusirit opted to join Khon Kaen United in the division below(!), and there was naturally no interest from Sontisawat, Ratree, and Sattham to make their loan moves permanent. From those that didn't return from their loan spells, Ratree will be the biggest loss as he contributed enormously in attack. Their attack was all that prevented their abysmal defending from sending them down the table. Losing Ratree and Ito at the same time is likely to damage them significantly. Therefore, it's hardly surprising that most of their pre-season transfer acquisitions were attackers by nature. Romanian striker Măgerușan was their big addition; he is expected to bring them goals. Having prolonged the loan spell of Amornlerdsak too, the foundation is there for them to score goals. The rest of their recruits were optimistic punts, other than Maia in midfield, and Pombuppha in attack. It's unclear how the others will fare at this point but they've done enough to make their attack a threat once again this season. Their defence remains a grave concern though. They have signed new defenders but they're mostly optimistic shots. Pimyotha at FB should be solid enough but the rest is a coin toss, and if they defend lie last season then this will be a difficult campaign for them, especially if their attack doesn't hit the ground running. A slow start is likely, given their vulnerable defence and new-look attack. May achieve a mid-table place if Măgerușan thrives but anything beyond that looks unlikely.
