Football Season Guide

Won Thai League Two last season, and did so comfortably. They were aided on this journey by exiting by domestic Cup competitions earlier in the season. Scoring goals was their forte. The only negative was that they were promoted alongside their fierce rivals, Sisaket United FC. The big problem ahead of their current campaign was that they sold star attacker Alberto Gouvea to Sukhothai. He was their best goal-scorer, and replacing him is going to be incredibly tough, especially with another x2 good attacking players, Natchanon Yongsakool & Supab Muengchan, starting the season with injuries. Their general approach pre-season has been something of a scatter-gun effort, bringing in pretty much anyone they could find, so much so that they've got a squad size that could even rival mighty Buriram United, not that they come close to having the same quality. Another trial for them is that they've got a new manager - Sirisak Yodyardthai. Arnon Bandasak got them promoted but his contract expired. Somewhat impressively, they managed to lure Sirisak Yodyardthai from Chiangrai United. Figuring out his best eleven amongst this massive group will be tough though. It's expected that Orji, Kunmee, Wongsa, Davis, Kim, Rojtearawanich, and Panigazzi will be players that they rely upon a lot, at least from those they've brought in. Likely to start the season slowly. Goal-scoring was their strength last season, but it could well prove to be their weakness this season unless some newbies hit the ground running. They may have only lost a few players pre-season but their best one was amongst them - that's never easy, especially in a higher division. The aim has to be to stay up but unless they show they've solved their attacking concerns then that might not be possible.
