In Brief

League survival main goal and FA Cup not a priority. Coming off much-needed league win. Continue to have 7 sidelined + 2 unnamed players also could miss. Kelly fully fit though + Steve Cook back from ban.

Looking Back

Bournemouth were under huge pressure when hosting Brighton last Tuesday, but player showed character and 3:1 win resurrected survival hope. Main striker Callum Wilson delighted to end 5-month goal drought in that game.

Survival in league the big goal and FA Cup seen only as unwanted distraction.

Looking Ahead

Coach Howe still without any of 7 players that are in rehabilitation, but after year ruined by injuries full-back Kelly is fit again and could play some part. Also Steven Cook back from ban.

Likely to give starts to many supporting players in this one.

Manager Comments

"We'll wait and see what team is available. We do have a couple of injury concerns, I won't go into individual names but there are a couple of players who are struggling."

In Brief

Great character shown in 2:2 draw vs. Chelsea. Chambers and Kolasinac amongst sidelined players. Sokratis expected back. Top scorer Aubameyang and Luiz suspended.

Looking Back

Arsenal played for more than an hour down to ten men in city-derby vs. Chelsea, but despite that and the fact that twice Blues took the lead Gunners fought hard and in the end achieved inspiring 2:2 draw.

Hard to see Arsenal achieving high finish in league and players expected to take FA Cup very seriously in attempt to qualify for Europe. In previous round made to work extremely hard when edging Leeds 1:0 at home.

Looking Ahead

Coach Arteta expected to select strong squad, but he won’t be able to use suspended Luiz and Aubameyang. However, Sokratis should be over illness on time.

Ceballos is yet to start since returning from injury, but this might be perfect time for him to get some playing time. Maitland-Niles also with point to prove after several poor displays at right-back in recent weeks.

Points of Interest

Young winger Martinelli scored braces in both League Cup matches early this season and with 3 goals in his last 5 Premier League starts too he is one to watch.
