Game Report

Highlights

Colorado maintained their unbeaten run in the MLS with another narrow win at home as they beat LAFC 1-0 in a game of very few chances for either side.

Detail

LAFC took control of the possession right from start but struggled to make efficient use of the ball with Rossi's blocked effort the closest they got to troubling Howard in the Colorado goal.

The hosts meanwhile were happy to play the waiting game but enjoyed a good spell of pressure midway through the first half with Kamara, Wilson and Abubakar all going close to getting a shot on target

Colorado stepped up their game at the start of the second half and after Shinyashiki had seen an effort blocked by Sisniega, the hosts grabbed the lead with Wilson heading home from the resulting corner.

LAFC responded by making a double change with Perez and El-Munir both coming on but though the visitors did create a couple of promising openings, they were struggling to get their shots beyond Howard

Perez had the best chance to restore parity midway through the second half but was unable to hit the target and Colorado were able to hang on to their narrow lead until the end to secure another excellent result.

Summary

LAFC did have the better chances from the few opportunities created in the game but lacked the clinical touch in front of the goal while at the other end Colorado offered very little in terms of attacking threat but did manage to grab the crucial goal.
