Burton had a largely inconsistent season in 21/22. They were never in danger of relegation but a run of just two wins in their last 14 games saw them finish 16th. So far it has been a quiet summer at Burton in terms of incomings. Attacking midfielder Keillor-Dunn has impressed in League Two over the last couple of seasons, he scored 15 goals in 21/22. Sinisalo provides some competition for the Number One Jersey. There have been a fair few outgoings but these have mainly been squad players who didn’t get much game time last season. Scoring goals was a problem for Burton in 21/22, they were the sixth lowest scorers with 51 in 46 games. Their top scorer ended up being Jebbison with seven and he left in January. This is certainly an area they need to strengthen between now and the close of the transfer window. Their squad at the moment currently features reliable defensive players at this level such as Brayford, Mancienne and Oshilaja but is lacking spark and creativity in attacking areas. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink usually finds the players to do a job at this level and as long as he remains as manager Burton should stay out of trouble.
