Remo’s 2025 season was a breakthrough year: ‘Leão Azul’ finished 4th in Série B and earned promotion to Série A for the first time since 1994, finishing level on points with fellow promoted sides and outperforming most rivals outside the top three. Standouts included Pedro Rocha, the league’s top scorer with 15 goals, complete midfielder Caio Vinícius and Marcelo Rangel, arguably the best keeper in Série B; Remo also won the Campeonato Paraense title, in 2025. Remo achieved promotion thanks to a pragmatical and often defensive approach. But for the new year, the Northern team should change drastically, as new gaffer Osório is the complete opposite from his predecessor, Guto Ferreira. The Colombian likes a positional, patient, attacking game. His two spells in Série A weren't successful, but he will arguably have better conditions this time, with a club that can afford to wait for results and good financial support. Two big departures for the next season: holding midfielder Caio Vinícius and winger Pedro Rocha were two of the three main players of last season, and they won't be able to play in Série A with Remo. On the other hand, the club has invested a bit to bring some strong names with Série A experience, such as centre-halves Marllon and Thalisson, midfielder Patrick, wingers Pikachu and Manga and striker Carlinhos. Argentinean Monti is a hot prospect for 2026, coming from a season where he scored 18 goals in 35 appearances, in Ecuador.
