Coach René Eijer has always maintained the 4-3-3 as a game system, a method that has partially worked for the attack, but surely the same cannot be said for the defense which was by far the worst in the league with 80 goals suffered.
In the winter transfer market they tried to make up for it, but the players took all disappointed expectations, starting with the talented midfielder Balic, but also Syhre and Dembelè did not give the expected contribution.
