Blackburn enjoyed a solid 2019/20 season, finishing in 10th position and earning a top half finish for the first time since 2015. In doing so, this will give manager Tony Mowbray and his players belief they can push on in the 2020/21 season and improve on their 10th place finish. Over the course of the off-season, Blackburn have produced some shrewd business, acquiring Kaminski from Gent who will take the number 1 spot in goal in the upcoming campaign. The other key signings made were Connor McBride and Tyrhys Dolan. Dolan has already enjoyed a bright start to life at Blackburn prior to the upcoming Championship season while McBride will be hoping to break into the team at some point this season or link up with Armstrong up front. Blackburn are enjoying a good pre-season, winning 3 from 3. Blackburn know their main strength will be scoring goals this season. Only 5 teams scored more goals than Rovers last season. Couple this with Mowbray's managerial experience and they do look a potential threat. The weakness for Blackburn appears at the back. They do concede goals and are prone to making individual errors. The hope for Rovers is the addition of Kaminski will halt this trend.

Target

Play-offs. The clever additions of players in well needed positions coupled with their attacking prowess means Blackburn should aim for the play-offs. Tony Mowbray's experience in the league means squeezing into the play-offs is not out of the question.
